Blurgh

Cold kicked in with a vengeance today. Rob and I had another session of RE5 this morning which was good fun but I sneezed and snorted snot through most of it so I felt bad for Rob having to listen to it. We got through quite a few levels. Definitely a wise investment for just £6.

After that retired to bed and spent much of the day there reading. Only went out when it got dark to do some more steel wool shots with the new remote for the camera and the tripod. Experimented with opening the shutter after the wool is lit and spinning, which worked quite well.

One more day of freedom and then back to work. Boo.

The Nintendo 3DS looks quite interesting. I've read quite a lot about it and it gets some impressive write ups from people who have seen the preproduction models. Should be interesting to see what it's like.

Took the bike out the other day. I jump started it from the Focus as it was a pain to bump start it. It started up fine after the usual choke faffing. It was quite funny how much faster it turned over from the more powerful battery in the Focus. It's going to need some attention though as some of the chrome has started to go on the rear springs and the forks, and the exhaust has rusted through in a couple of places. I found a site that does Gilera spares and they wanted £390 for an original exhaust. Seems bonkers as it has the same engine as a Honda CG125 for which an exhaust is about £60. One of those should fit at the engine end, not sure about the other end.

Or perhaps I should stick it on Ebay and look for a Honda XR125, which would be so much more suitable for where I live.
