Isn't it weird how certain things can sit in your memory, dormant, until suddenly triggered. For me, it was this
randomly encountered video of a
Madrid Metro train pulling out of a station. That distinctive sound triggered a flashback of using the Metro to travel around the city, surrounded by conversations in
Spanish and all sorts of people. It was really weird. Also some of the
Berlin U-bahn trains make a similar sound, so that was interesting. That sound means holidays and adventures, and new experiences. I definitely want to go back to Madrid at some point, we had a really, really good time there.
Just spent a few minutes watching the
Chris Cunningham compilation DVD, which features the videos of
Africa Shox by
Leftfield, and the genius
Windowlicker by
Aphex Twin. I've also got the DVD of
Rubber Johnny, which is just VERY strange. It's also on
YouTube, and is worth watching.
